Haiwen also presented these slides as part of a panel on language and feelings organized by Dr. Miriam Ebsworth. This paper draws upon the same set of data as the above paper, with a focus on the ways in which language mediates the social and emotional support that schools provide their students, and some of the emotional experiences that students have around immigration, language, and identity.
